At Hedgehog.INK! we specialize in gently used, limited new books and local Bourbon County products.
Dick and Jan Hedges, three-time retirees from the field of education, have turned their love of reading and writing into a dream come true with Hedgehog.INK!
Both are avid readers and aspiring writers. Dick has written a weekly column for the Fort Scott Tribune for over 50 years. Jan is currently working on a book between her hours at the bookstore.
Dick was widowed in 2006 and Jan in 2008. They had known each other some 30 years earlier, reconnected and were married in 2011 when Jan moved to Fort Scott.
The store is located in historic downtown Fort Scott, KS at 16 S. Main. It features gently used books and a variety of local items - Lavender Patch products, Locust Hill Lamancha Dairy Goat soaps and lotions, hand crafted greeting cards, Sweet Granada chocolates and “Woodmarks” by Scott.
